Claire is a food science major at Purdue University. She currently works in the phytochemical laboratory in the food science department, assisting in models of degradation kinetics of natural pigments, anthocyanins, in model beverage systems and performing two types of analysis: 1-pH differential total monomeric anthocyanin content and 2- the solid phase extraction of anthocyanins for HPLC-MS analysis.
In addition to her lab experience, Claire also studied abroad in France, where she completed language, culture and agriculture classes, and worked on a local kiwi farm. She is a member of the Food Science Club and the Agricultural Honors Learning Community at Purdue. Claire also serves as a University Residence Global mentor, McCutcheon Hall 5th Floor Senator, Purdue Christian Campus House office volunteer, and Greyhouse Coffee Shop volunteer.
She is a College of Agriculture Dean's Scholar and a member of the University Honors Program. Claire is also a recipient of the Trustees Scholarship and the Institute of Food Technologists Feeding Tomorrow Scholarship Recipient.
